Industry Certification for Wexford Health Leadership

One of Wexford Health’s key initiatives to ensure the consistent, ongoing quality of our services is the company’s Industry Certification program.  President & CEO Mark Hale expects key personnel — including every member of our senior management team — to obtain designation as a Certified Correctional Health Professional (CCHP) from the National Commission on Correctional Health Care, a leading industry quality improvement organization.  Company leaders are also challenged to obtain additional certifications that relate to their specific occupations.

Certification of this type identifies our leaders as individuals who have demonstrated mastery of national standards and who possess the knowledge clients expect in today’s correctional health care environment.  This program — unique to our industry — sets Wexford Health apart from our competitors and demonstrates our leadership in the ever-changing field of correctional health care.

In order to achieve industry certification, Wexford Health employees pass rigorous tests to prove their knowledge of correctional health care standards.  Once certified, these individuals also undergo continuing education each year to maintain their designations as industry experts.

Designation as a CCHP or other industry expert is not easy to obtain.  Our Industry Certification program ensures that Wexford Health personnel possess a superior level of in-depth correctional health care knowledge.  By achieving certification as recognized industry experts, our managers confirm their ability to effectively oversee both the operational and clinical sides of the health care programs we provide to our clients.
