Wexford Health believes that a comprehensive, ongoing training and development program is essential to our staff members’ continued professional growth. Our staff development programs provide continuing education for all levels of health care employees, and offers eligible clinical staff members Paid Time Off and financial reimbursement to obtain Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits. In addition, Wexford Health provides regular and ad hoc in-service sessions to ensure our employees keep their clinical skills and technical knowledge up-to-date.
We designed our training programs to promote employees’ ongoing acquisition of knowledge, skills, and practices that are consistent with contemporary health care standards and enhance their professional developement. Topics reflect educational needs commonly found in institutional health care, such as administration of medication, chemical dependency, and recognizing and handling mental illness. We provide training on specialized topics for various disciplines as well as general topics for all employees. This empowers them to achieve superior results in overall job performance and customer service.
