Founded in 1992, Wexford Health began with a single mission and a single contract: to deliver quality medical care in correctional settings, an environment whose complexities we understood and met with unwavering resolve. From that first contract, we grew steadily—earning the confidence of administrators and the respect of medical professionals.

Today, Wexford Health proudly serves more than 20 facilities with a dedicated team of over 750 medical professionals. For more than three decades, we have focused on nothing but correctional health care—and with the same majority owners since our founding and an executive team averaging 15 years of tenure, we remain exceptionally stable, both operationally and financially.
