Staffing Technology

Staffing Technology

Recruiting for a correctional facility is challenging.  There is no “quick fix” for staffing a prison health care unit.  That said, Wexford Health is always exploring new approaches to ensure we provide our clients with appropriate mixes and levels of personnel.  The narratives below discuss how we are currently applying cutting-edge technology to our correctional recruiting efforts to attract candidates more effectively and efficiently.

We recently implemented an upgraded Applicant Tracking System (ATS) with features not typically found in an ATS.  Our new hybrid Applicant Tracking/Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system adds significant capabilities to Wexford Health’s existing arsenal of recruitment tools, including chatbots, one-to-one texting, text blasting, AI (artificial intelligence) candidate matching, automated candidate follow-up and engagement, and more.

We have invested in nationwide online advertising campaigns on Google.  This enables us to conduct location and position-specific recruitment.  Additionally, our Google contract includes a retargeting campaign for candidates who did not complete an application during their first visit to Wexford Health’s website.

The software tracks these individuals and arranges for a Wexford Health recruitment ad to discreetly follow them while they browse the Internet for a set period, serving as a reminder to return to our website and apply for a position.

We recently partnered with an agency specializing in IP targeting to better reach verified physicians, psychologists, and dentists through their home Wi-Fi networks. Traditional cookie-based online advertising requires users to opt in and makes (sometimes inaccurate) assumptions based on a user’s search history.  Wexford Health’s new campaign takes a different approach, using verified offline information (e.g., state license numbers, home addresses) to identify and send advertising to the targeted home Wi-Fi IP addresses.
