Wexford Health provides comprehensive care for alcohol use disorder, spanning the full continuum from acute intoxication and crisis stabilization, medically supervised withdrawal, FDA-approved medications, and release planning. A multidisciplinary team approach among mental health, mutual help groups, medical, and custody staff, working in coordination, addresses each patient's clinical and social needs.
Treatment follows the Stages of Change model, guiding patients through structured, individualized recovery plans developed with their counselors as well as medical and psychiatry clinicians. Program quality is reinforced through regular multidisciplinary site reviews, quarterly regional oversight visits, and ongoing clinical training for ARS staff, including DBT certification for new hires.
The goal: equip patients with the tools to sustain recovery, successfully reintegrate into their communities, and avoid recidivism.
