While each engagement is distinct in scope and complexity, Wexford Health possesses the expertise and organizational depth to transition any facility from a paper-based system to a fully electronic environment in a timely and efficient manner.

Following a comprehensive strategic analysis of the EHR marketplace and its impact on correctional healthcare, Wexford Health has deliberately decided not to develop or maintain a proprietary EHR solution. Instead, we partner with a diverse network of independent, third-party EHR vendors. This approach delivers two key advantages to our clients:

• Objectivity. Because we do not promote an in-house product, we can evaluate the marketplace impartially and recommend the solution that offers the optimal operational fit and greatest value for each client's specific requirements—without influence from our own financial interests.
• Long-term protection. An independent EHR—one that is not proprietary to a facility's correctional healthcare vendor—safeguards the client's interests at the conclusion of a contract term.

This independence provides meaningful benefits at the point of vendor transition. It simplifies the transfer of systems and records, assures data integrity, and maintains continuity of patient care between outgoing and incoming healthcare providers.
